NAIDAX was born SAROJ KUMAR GUPTA on 13th.January, 1979, in Siliguri, a then small town nestling at the foothills of the Himalayan mountains in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India. After attending Goethall's Memorial School - a prestigious establishment run by the Irish mission, Cliff Richard being one of it's many notable ex-pupils - and excelling in the arts and sport, he decided to pursue his greatest love - music. After studies in Indian classical music with guru TAPAS BARDHAN, he moved to London in 2000 with the idea of fusing the essence of the many disparate aspects of Indian music with contemporary Western popular music values of arrangement and production. Eventually he met MARK JENSEN, began this present collaboration and signed to "ZESTZONE", Mark's production company and label and has since received extensive support from Bobby Friction & Nihal and Jo Whiley on BBC Radio One.
He is currently preparing for live performances to coincide with the forthcoming release of his debut album “Naidax”.
